On April 23, 2019, at 4 pm, took place at the Quinta das Cruzes Museum, the ceremony of public presentation and formal delivery of a set of pieces kindly donated to the Museum by the Honorable Mrs. Susan Gale Bolger Seldon, last heiress of the family – House of Torre Bela, descendant of the first Counts of Torre Bela, Filomena Gabriela Correia Brandão Henriques de Noronha and Russel Manners Gordon. Notice of change in opening hours

The Quinta das Cruzes Museum will be temporarily closed to the public on Sundays, starting next Sunday, 31st March. The museum will be open to the public from Tuesday to Saturday on its regular timetable, from 10h00 a.m to 12h30 p.m and from 14h00 p.m to 17h30 p.m. We thank you for understanding and we’re sorry for any inconvenience.

Concert ‘Antiqua’ by the group Dolcemente

The Quinta das Cruzes Museum hosts next Saturday, January 19, the show “Antiqua” which consists of a music concert from an old chamber music by the group Dolcemente, that will interpret medieval and Baroque themes. The event is free and will begin at 6:00 p.m. and is an initiative of the Regional Education Secretariat, through the Directorate of Arts Education and Multimedia Services of the Regional Directorate of Education. Reopening of the Museum and Rooms 1 and 2 to the Public

After a temporary closure of almost 6 months, due to structural consolidation of the main building, the Quinta das Cruzes Museum reopens to the public in its normal working hours, starting next Friday, December the 7th. We also inform that the normal circuit of the permanent exhibition is re-established with the reopening of exhibition rooms 1 and 2, on the first floor of the main building, and will also feature some new art pieces purchased by the Regional Government in the last two years . European Museum Night at MQC | 2018 Edition

14th Edition of the European Museum Night (EMN 2018)

The European Museum Night, an initiative set up by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication in 2005, is being held on 19 May, where museums from all over Europe open doors and provide visitors with attractive experiences outside of the usual offer. Visit of the World Federation of Friends of Museums (WFFM)

The Quinta das Cruzes Museum received on May 11 at 6:00 pm, the participants of the General Assembly of the World Federation of Museum Friends (WFFM), which met in the city of Funchal from May 10 to 13.
