We would like to inform you that the Quinta das Cruzes Museum will reopen to the public, tomorrow, Thursday, April 15th, during the continuous opening hours, from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm. We remind you that, in order, to visit this space, it is necessary to comply with the current regulations for the control and prevention of covid-19, namely the use of a mask and hand disinfection. The Museum is temporarily closed

The Quinta das Cruzes Museum will be temporarily closed to the public due to works to improve the facade of the main building, whose work phase prevents the circulation of people near the entrance of the museum. Changes of the opening hours until January 31, 2021

In compliance with the Resolution of the Presidency of the Regional Government No. 19/2021, which determines the adjustment, reinforcement and implementation of new measures in the Autonomous Region of Madeira to control and contain the disease COVID-19, we inform that the Museum’s opening hours will be changed to the following: Open Tuesday to Saturday from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm; Closed on Sundays, Mondays and public holidays.

Reopening of the Quinta das Cruzes Museum

Closed for regular pest control

The Quinta das Cruzes Museum, including the gardens, will be closed to the public in the period between 2 and 22 of June 2020, for the purpose of periodic disinfestation of the Museum’s main building. The museum reopens on June 23 at its regular schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 5:30 pm.

Reopening of the Quinta das Cruzes Museum

After being closed due to the measures to contain COVID-19, the Quinta das Cruzes Museum reopens today with the following schedule: Museum and Gardens Open on May 14th, 15th and 16th from 10 am to 1 pm. Closed on Sunday 17th of May. Monday, May 18 (International Museum Day) open from 10 am to 5 pm. From May 19th to May 30th, open from 10 am to 1 pm and closed on Sundays and Mondays. On the days mentioned above the admission is free.  Cafeteria The cafeteria is currently closed to the public.

Temporary Closing of the Museum

Returning to normal operating hours

Already on June 1, the Quinta das Cruzes Museum returns to its normal working hours, reopening on Sundays. We are reminded that we are open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and closed on Mondays and national, regional and municipal holidays. We would like to inform you that, also as of June 1st, the cafeteria service will also open regularly from Tuesday to Sunday within the Museum’s opening hours.

On April 23, 2019, at 4 pm, took place at the Quinta das Cruzes Museum, the ceremony of public presentation and formal delivery of a set of pieces kindly donated to the Museum by the Honorable Mrs. Susan Gale Bolger Seldon, last heiress of the family – House of Torre Bela, descendant of the first Counts of Torre Bela, Filomena Gabriela Correia Brandão Henriques de Noronha and Russel Manners Gordon.
